My name is Lesley Dixon and I am a sand artist. I live at Muriwai Beach, Auckland, New Zealand. Here it’s the best sand for building. I learnt on Del Mar beach in San Diego in 2016 how to build the high sandcastles and amazing bridges I have always tried to build with my kids here in NZ.

Working in the sand is a journey of an individual unique experience, creating what has meaning to you. Down on the sand it is a meditative experience and is a place of letting go of worries and fears, healing and best of all, having fun!  I am very happy to co create this with you.

I offer sand/beach art where you draw on the beach with a rake and create an enormous masterpiece. You can then enjoy the walk back up to the top of the beach where your design is revealed to you. Everyday you have a new canvas!!!

You can also learn to build an epic magical sandcastle of your childhood dreams.  I can show you the techniques used to build bigger sandcastles and the different tricks and tools used. I have competed twice in the Masters section of the Imperial Beach Sun and Sea festival in San Diego where their sandcastle competition attracts 70,000 people over the 2 days.

I love teaching people this magical way of building and I am available for one on one/ Couple / family building experiences. I am also available for team building experiences and for talks about my sand art adventures and about following your dreams.
