A dear friend wrote this description of my work. At first, I found these words a little hard to own initially, but they do feel pretty true…
Pat brings the flow, pulse and sparkle of life energy to canvas. She feels deeply, with all her senses, and captures that in colour, expressive brush strokes, shape and composition - her paintings are a journey of movement and stillness, confusion and clarity, chaos and calm.
As a keen 'witnesser' of her inner world responding to the outer world of people, place and season, she has inexhaustible inspiration for her work. Pat’s work captures visceral and transient moments in the dance of life. These invite the viewer to notice how their own body and mind respond. Meaning is in the being of the beholder.
