Australian born and Taranaki raised. Blong graduated in 2006 from Hungry Creek and Art School with a major in painting and sculpture.

Her work is suggestive of a timeless era, a mottled memory of belonging to a time and place, it speaks of hot heady summers, inclusion yet exclusion.Its about shadow and light, the intoxication of the tropical and the undercurrent that often percolates.

She has had numerous solo and group shows, her work is held in international, public and private collections.
